WHAT IS KAPBALL?
Kapball is a fast-paced hitting and fielding game played with a skinny bat and a lightweight plastic cap — called a "kap" — instead of a baseball. Because the kap spins, curves, and floats unpredictably, every pitch is a challenge and every hit is earned. It sharpens hand-eye coordination, builds real contact skills, and keeps the energy high from the first swing to the last out.
It's competitive enough for serious players, and fun enough that anyone can pick it up in minutes.

QUICK ANSWERS
Do we need to know how to play Kapball?
Not at all. The Championship is open to all skill levels — ages 8 and up. If you can swing a bat and move your feet, you're ready.
What ages can participate?
All players must be minimum 8 years old or older. Adults are encouraged to play as well.
What happens if it rains?
We play rain or shine. Come ready to compete no matter what the weather brings.
What should we bring?
Comfortable athletic clothes and sneakers. It's a full outdoor event, so dress for the weather. Equipment will be provided — just bring the energy.
Can spectators come?
Yes! Bring your family, bring your friends, bring the whole block. The more the better.
How long does the tournament last?
Plan for roughly 3 hours of action to be crowned champion. We've designed this year's format to keep things moving (more courts, tighter rotations, less downtime). You'll get plenty of games in without being there all day.
How is this different from the last tournament?
This one is fully outdoors with more courts running simultaneously — which means more games, a bigger crowd, and a higher level of competition. It's the same Kapball community, turned all the way up.
What do the winners receive?
The championship team takes home one trophy, a championship ring for every team member, and free admission to the next Kapball tournament.
